THE KEY PARAMETERS DEFINING THE DESIGN AND CHARACTERISTICS OF THE FIN
HEIGHT (DEPTH)
The height, also refered to as depth, is defined as the distance the fins penetrate into the water.
By increasing the height, the fin gains more grip which is useful for up-wind and pop capabilities. Lowering the depth proportionally can achieve a more skatey feeling without losing grip.
LENGTH (BASE)
The length is the dimension along the board also known as base.
It has an impact on the drive of the board as well as directional stability and turning speed. Alterations can generate enough grip while still maintaining a low profile.
AREA
The area of the fin defines how much grip you have in water, the power you can generate, and the responsiveness of your board.
Depending on the proportions of the fin area different performance characteristics can be achieved. Alterations to the base and depth make it possible to design a large variety of fins, depending on the riders choice.

The base is universally mountable and fits all twin-tip boards with standard 2 holes.
It can be easily retrofitted so you can use your Firefins on your favorite board!
ALL FIREFIN MODELS FIT ONTO THE SAME UNIVERSAL BASE
Attached once, the base remains on your board so you can leave your tools at home.
The compact and durable design has no sharp edges and will not damage your other gear making it safe and practical for traveling.

The fin consists of 2 materials:
• an hard, engineering-grade, recyclable thermoplastic body
• a marine-grade, durable silikon skirt
TWO-COMPONENT (2K) INJECTION MOLDING AND HIGHEST GRADE MATERIALS
2K injection molding physically fuses the hard and elastic material creating the highest quality units.
With this production method we utilize the best of each material quality in one product.
Marine-grade silicone preformes very well and is commonly used in extreme conditions.
It has good qualities in regards to corrosion resistance, UV stability and durrability in saltwater.

The fin cavity and base have corresponding channels and anchor points creating a bomb-proof and seamless connection
